Oppo has officially launched its camera-centric Oppo R9 and R9 Plus smartphones at an event held in Beijing National Convention Center, China.
Oppo R9 features a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display having resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by 2.0 GHz Octa-core 64-bit MediaTek Helio P10 processor clubbed with 4GB RAM.
R9 is a camera-centric smartphone which has 16 MP Sony IMX298 OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) rear camera with features like Auto Focus, HDR, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and 13 MP front facing which is good enough for capturing the selfies and for video purpose.
Oppo R9 is a 4G smartphone having hybrid dual sim which means you can use the second sim slot to expand the storage via microSD card. For the storage purpose it has 64 GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs Android 5.1.1 operating system based Color OS 3.0 UI.
It has finger print sensor which is on the front below the display and the company claims that with the help of it you can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. Oppo R9 is fueled by 2850 mAh battery and it also has Oppo’s Super VOOC rapid charging technology according to which the smartphone will get fully charge in just 15 minutes.
The Oppo R9 is priced at 2799 Yuan (approximately Rs 28,747) and will be available for purchase from March 24 onwards.
The phone has good configuration and features like Oppo's Super VOOC rapid charging technology, finger print sensor.
