Polaroid Launched Power and Snap smartphones at CES 2016

S-based camera company Polaroid popular for its Polaroid instant films and cameras, has showcased two Android-based smartphones, Polaroid Power and Polaroid Snap at the CES 2016, Las Vegas.

Polaroid Power features a 6-inch display with full-HD screen resolution (1080×1920) pixels. Polaroid Power is powered by 64-bit Octa-core processor packed with 3GB of RAM. It is having 13MP rear camera with LED flash while also sports an 8MP front camera and for the storage purpose it has 32GB internal storage and also having option of microSd card or Google Drive Storage Cloud, with help of which you can extend the storage upto 64GB. It runs on Android v5.1 (Lollipop) and further can be upgraded to Android v6.0 (Marshmallow) but there is no confirmation when the update of Marshmallow will be available for it. It is powered by 3000mAh battery which can last upto a day and supports 4G LTE connectivity option. Another news from the company is that Polaroid Power smartphone will come with an additional 8000mAh external power bank for which user might have to pay.

The Polaroid Power will be available in the market from the starting of spring 2016 and will get offered in the price of 249.99$ and Rs 16,750 approximately. Designed and manufactured by Southern Telecom, an authorized Polaroid licensee, the Polaroid Snap unlocked smartphone line will be available through EVINE Live in February.

Another smartphone which was announced by Polaroid is Polaroid Snap which will be available in three screen sizes — 5-inch, 5.5-inch and 6-inch. Polaroid Snap phones is having HD display of screen resolution (720×1280) pixels and is powered by a Quad-core processor packed with 2GB of RAM. It sports a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash at the back & front of  the phone and a 5MP front facing camera. The internal storage of the smartphone is 16GB which can be extended with the help of microSD card upto 32GB.

Polaroid Snap runs on Android v5.1 (Lollipop). It will be having four variants in term of color-pink, blue, black and white and prices of the smartphone will range from $129.99- $179.99 depending on the variant of the screen size.
